Calling all PlacerGROWN Producers for Terra Madre Americas in Sacramento!
Friday, September 26, 2025 – Sunday, September 28, 2025
Dear Placer County Producers!
The PlacerGROWN team is extremely excited to be participating in this year’s Terra Madre Americas Slow Food event, which is making its North American debut this September 26-28 in Sacramento. (See below for announcement).
We are working with Visit Sacramento to ensure that this event offers the same great experience that international folks have come to expect at the event in Turin, Italy, where last year over 300,000 folks participated. Placer County’s agricultural history and current practices really make this a perfect region to showcase what great family-owned and small-farm growers in California and the Sacramento region are doing in terms of good, clean, and fair food production.
That is why PlacerGROWN believes the more producers that participate from our county, the more we bring an International spotlight to our agriculture sector. We have created an “Interest Form” for you to fill out so we can estimate the necessary space in the convention center for our Placer County producers and provide that opportunity for you at an affordable price. We have also attached the Guidelines document from Slow Food, which outlines the general practices that are embodied by Slow Food producers. Please look them over and see if your operation fits generally within the guidelines that are detailed in the document. NOTE: Please do NOT disqualify yourself if you feel your operation doesn’t adhere to every standard. We are looking for producers who generally abide by the core tenants of Slow Food: Good, Clean and Fair.
Both the PlacerGROWN and the Visit Placer brands will be represented in this unique opportunity to shine a light on one of Placer County’s core pillars of our great Quality of Life: an incredible bounty of food, wine and ale, produced with care, respect for the land with an eye on our long storied history as an agricultural pillar in California.
Once we have secured our interested delegation — and this can include growers, value-added producers, winemakers and brewers — we will announce the participation costs, as well as some of the marketing opportunities we will be exploring.
Please fill out the Interest Form Linked Here<https://forms.gle/TXfaP342RJSrHRjA7>.
If you have any questions at all about this opportunity, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. My cell is 530-852-2340 and email is rhaswell@visitplacer.com
We are so excited to be a part of this historic event.
